My wife and I hired Joe to buy a used Mini Cooper for our daughter in college. She had a budget and wanted a reliable, low mileage car. Joe did the research, met with dealers, negotiated a great price and even took our daughter to the dealer for the closing. He was great.
I would recommend that you don’t use Joe if you:
•Know the current market for used cars, cold
•Have a lot of time on your hands to do the research and visit dealers
•Can tell the dealers what they paid for the car
•Get a natural high walking into a dealer to negotiate for a used car
• Can’t wait to hear the salesman ask “what’s it gonna take to get you in this car
today?”Otherwise, you should hire Joe.

Joe Johnson has assisted me in the purchase of three cars. He is phenomenal!! He understood what I was looking for – model, color, accessories and price range. He does his homework and then delivers the goods, which in my case was a car in my driveway. I say this because I hate car shopping more than I hate clothes shopping. Joe found a car dealer that would deliver the car to my house so that we could close the transaction in my living room. While I don’t think Joe could consistently deliver that level of service from the dealerships, the level of service that Joe provides is at that level.
I will never purchase another car without hiring Joe!!!!!!

In April of 2010, the lease on my VW Jetta ended. My options were obvious: to turn-in my leased vehicle, simply buy the car out, or opt for a brand new vehicle (lease or purchase). Let me preface this by saying that my credit was not exactly stellar (it still isn’t). To exacerbate matters, I simply did not have any cash-in-hand at the time, unless I borrow additional funds from a financial institution at a remarkably high-interest rate.
Just so you have some type of historical background, I have been paying $352 monthly for 36 months, since I took possession of the car in February of 2007. After making three years’ worth of payments, I was still $13K in arrears (remaining balance), at the end of the lease – – not exactly an ideal scenario. I contacted the dealer to discuss my options. They performed a credit check and advised me that I needed to change my identity (well not exactly, but that’s how I felt). To make a long story short, I was advised that I needed to have the $13K to buy it out (as a side note, the car at this juncture was only worth a little over $9K), or have a sizeable amount of cash for a new purchase. I don’t sell drugs so this option immediately dissipated in thin air; or (yes, another “or”….) have a minimum of $3K deposit to keep my payments at $325 a month. The woman did stress that this is a much better deal than what I had (yeah, whatever).
Given all the scenarios before me, all I had to turn to was prayer. Then I heard the name “Joe”. Joe was recommended to me by a co-worker. She described him as a “miracle worker” among other things. Well, I don’t believe in miracles (I kind of do, but not in cases like this one). I initially spoke with Joe over the phone, and explained my situation. I also mentioned that I had credit issues. He assured me that he can get me a better deal in lieu of what has been presented to me so far. I was a little reluctant, but I really, I mean REALLY (let’s be serious) had nothing to lose! So, I went for it and made arrangements to meet with him.
Joe and I met on a Saturday morning at a dealership. Again, they ran my credit (yes, another humiliating moment), and found the same exact issues. Unfortunately, the U.S. only subscribes to three major reporting agencies, and there was really no way around this, so I just smiled and kept my mouth shut the entire time. Just as I predicted, I was given the same options. Oh well, are you surprised? Anyway….
Joe advised me to sit in the waiting area. I watched him from a distance. He seemed very passionate and quite animated with his hands, and actually appeared rather intermittently perturbed. After approximately 20 minutes, the salesman called me in his office, and mentioned that I needed $2,500 down and that my payments would be $278 a month. Wow, I thought I was delusional. What a phenomenal difference! I was in utter disbelief. My eyes lit up and my spirits were elated. I couldn’t wait to sign the papers before they changed their minds!!!
In summary, I am very grateful to Joe Johnson for all the assistance that he has provided during my car search. He is truly a savvy businessman! If I did not go through this experience personally, I would not have believed it! He is excellent!

When we casually mentioned to Joe one afternoon that we were thinking of trading in our car we never dreamt we’d have that perfect new car in our driveway the next day before noon.
The next morning Joe showed up at our house with a file…he had done his homework regarding the trade-in value of our present car on special sites that he has access to and was ready to take us shopping. We found the car we were looking for easily but it came loaded with a lot more accessories than we really wanted or were willing to pay for. I could not have done it without Joe!
I confess to knowing very little about cars, and further confess that I am very happy in that pool of ignorance. However, I needed to find a car on somewhat of an emergency basis–sadly mine had met a premature demise. I was in the middle of moving my family for the second time in three months, had four children going in different directions, and no wheels. I ran into Joe at (where else!) the coffee shop, and his jovial “how are you” prompted an in-depth eruption of my entire (sob)story. Joe not only didn’t quickly excuse himself, but asked thoughtful questions in trying to assess the best next step. The next day Joe was at my door with a folder full of information about different potential choices that made sense for my family!

Joe Johnson was the best part of purchasing my first car. I reached out to him in hopes he could offer some advice on how to purchase a car when I had zero knowledge on the process. What can I say? I have known Joe for 24 years and find him to be truly talented in buying our vehicles. Our first vehicle was a brand new model change over year. We had to put down a deposit on this car since it was a brand new model year. We were going to pay $1000.00 over MSRP and were told we were lucky to be getting this car early. He convinced my husband to get the money back and he purchased the same vehicle else where and saved us $2500.He purchase another car in the fall of 2003 for myself and rest a sure saved us another bundle, but more importantly made it simple painless. Two years ago my husband and I were interested in buying a previously owned car for our college-age daughter. Knowing that Joe had helped a number of our friends, he was the first person we called. Joe, after asking several questions to determine our needs and requirements, suggested we look at Volkswagen Jettas. Joe met us at the dealership, and with a salesman, guided us as we looked at a number of cars. Because of his knowledge, Joe asked specific questions to Volkswagen, regarding safety, frequency of repairs and warranties. We selected a Jetta that day. However, Joe’s help did not stop there. Because our daughter was going to be driving to upstate New York , he recommended a different tire choice and negotiated with the car dealership to deduct the value of the original tires from the total cost of the car. The new tires were shipped to the dealership and put on the car at no additional cost. Because the car is a 2006 model, Joe believed we should consider an extended warranty. We agreed (and it did prove beneficial), and Joe negotiated the warranty for a reduced cost. At one point during the winter in New York , our daughter was told she needed to replace one of her tires. We called Joe. After asking our daughter several questions, Joe thought our daughter may be getting “the run-around” from the mechanic. He helped us locate a dealership of the brand of tire we needed, and sure enough, a repair, was required and not an expensive replacement.
